Former As the World Turns and Search For Tomorrow star Jeffrey Meek costars in the new Lifetime movie Taken: The Search for Sophie Parker.
Meek plays a New York City Detective whose partner and love interest, Det. Stevie Parker (played by Julie Benz), heads to Moscow to search for her 17-year-old daughter, the kidnapping victim of a human sex trafficking ring.
Meek began his television career playing Quinn McCleary on Search for Tomorrow, and from 2006 to 2007 appeared as Craig Montgomery on As the World Turns. He co-wrote the Bobby Darin biography, Beyond the Sea, starring Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth. Meek is also the Treasurer and Artistic Director for PlayFest Santa Barbara.

When 18-year-old Sophie Parker goes on spring break to Moscow with her friend Janie Hillman, daughter of the American Ambassador to Russia, she is reluctantly convinced by boy-crazy Janie to sneak out of the U.S. Embassy and go to a nightclub. The two girls are drugged and abducted by a Russian sexual slavery ring operating in the heart of Moscow. When Sophie's widowed mother, Stevie, a tough NYPD detective, gets an alarming and mysterious call from Sophie's cell phone, she takes the next plane to Russia, where she moves heaven and earth, and the Moscow police, on her frantic and action-packed quest to save her only child.
