Tough-talking no-nonsense district attorney Henry North made his presence known after the murder of Stuart Chandler. Having strong political aspirations, Henry knew that the big case could propel him into the national spotlight. He pressed forward with the case to prove that Kendall Hart killed Stuart, and brushed aside claims that more investigation was needed before putting someone on trial. It soon became clear that Kendall represented the one thing in life that made Henry the most unhappy; his wife.
Henry admittedly married Madison Beardsley because of her name and her family's money. There appeared to be little, if any, love involved. Henry was still hung up on someone else, a woman he wanted but couldn't have: former hooker Randi Morgan. Henry tried to get Randi to leave her husband, Frankie Hubbard, but she refused. Henry went as far as to tell Randi that he'd consider going easier on Kendall, Randi's boss, and Jesse Hubbard, Randi's father-in-law, if she slept with him one last time.
In a hotel room in Washington, DC, Randi rebuffed Henry's advances, but Henry wouldn't back down. Randi picked up a bookend and clobbered Henry with it. Fearing that she'd killed him, Randi fled the scene. Later, unbeknownst to anyone else, Madison arrived in the hotel room and finished the job.
With Jesse's help, Henry's body was put into his car and rolled down a cliff.
