AMC memorabilia bought by Ripley's Believe It Or Not!

Find out which piece of All My Children history was just purchased by Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum is making headlines for having purchased one of the original lightsabers used by Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) in the films Star Wars: A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, but the unique company also added a bit of soap opera memorabilia to its collection.

Also included in Ripley's Believe It or Not!'s acquisition of items from the recent Profiles in History Hollywood Auction is an All My Children Daytime Emmy Award for Best Writing, presented to Mary K. Wells for her work on the daytime drama in 1988.

Other notable items included in the auction were the original Superman costume worn by actor George Reeves, Donald Trump's 50th birthday invitation sent to Loni Anderson, The Walking Dead jacket and "zombie" facial appliance, and a set of Bob Hope novelty golf clubs.

The Star Wars lightsaber will be put on display at Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Orlando, Florida. There's no information at this time on what the museum plans to do with AMC's Daytime Emmy Award and where it might be displayed.
