They've all got to start somewhere, and it looks like Hollywood star Bradley Cooper got his start on ABC's former soap opera All My Children.
The Pennsylvania actor, who has rocketed to fame via his roles in Silver Linings Playbook, The Hangover, American Hustle, and American Sniper, recently revealed that his very first screen test involved romancing a woman on AMC.
"My earliest screen test was for All My Children or One Life to Live or whatever they called Kelly Ripa's [ex-Hayley Santos] soap opera," he told Page Six. "Who knows what they tried to turn me into? I remember most they kept blow-drying my hair. I was maybe 25. My action was kissing a girl. Ohhh, I was so nervous."
Cooper obviously didn't win the role, but he did go on to star in several other television shows like Alias and Nip/Tuck. But somehow, we think a Pine Valley pit stop would have been a pretty good detour on his way to Tinseltown.
What do you think of Cooper's comments regarding his short soap opera experience? What character do you think he might have been auditioning for?
