Christopher Johnstone will play the role of a New York City bellhop on All My Children next week. Christopher is currently in the cast of the national tour of South Pacific playing at The Ahmanson Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
During its 40-year run in New York, All My Children had a tradition of hiring actors working on and off Broadway for various roles on the show. Now that AMC had headed west to Los Angeles, the show has renewed it commitment to the stage community. AMC will look to hire actors whose national tours play engagements in Los Angeles.
In his All My Children debut, Christopher plays the role of a bellhop who runs into Greenlee Smythe. Greenlee is trying to break into her ex-husband's hotel room, because she believes that he's there with a new woman (which he is). Christopher's character quickly succumbs to Greenlee's flirting and against his better judgment, he opens the door, which leads to a lot of drama.
