Billy Miller will join the cast as "Wes," a character being developed as a new romantic interest for Babe Chandler. The rumored exit of Alexa Havins [To read the related article, click here] will apparently not interfere with the character's debut. Show sources have already hinted that Babe will be recast once - or rather if - Havins exits the show.

Which of AMC's soon-to-be-new characters most interests you at the moment?  It is way too early to tell how I feel about these upcoming characters.   40%   Wes. Miller is a newcomer to the soap world. His previous television credits include a guest spot on CSI: NY. He makes his All My Children debut on August 30th.

Meanwhile, Sterling Sulieman bows as "Dre" in September. Dre is described as a young African-American man whose garage band sets up shop next to the Martin home. Dre will be woven into the teen scene with stories being developed with both Sean Montgomery and Colby Chandler.

Sulieman appeared previously as Chris on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful. He also guest-starred on the primetime sitcom, "Half & Half." The young actor has been a part of the Disney family - which owns ABC - for some time. In 2006 he was a member of the dance ensemble for Disney's High School Musical national tour. Sulieman first appears on September 4th.

The addition of the two new roles - both of them contract - are the first signs of new head writers James Harmon Brown and Barbara Esensten putting their mark on All My Children. Typically new scribes will phase out characters from previous writers that do not work into their vision of the show and bring in new faces to help tell stories that they have crafted. So far only one character, Di Henry, has been written out of the show.
