A very familiar face to daytime fans will soon be headed to Genoa City. Gordon Thomson, who has starred on several soap operas over the years, has joined the cast of The Young and the Restless.
The soap vet will play a new character named Daryl Tulane, who Soap Opera Digest reports shares an interesting connection to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) from her recent time away.
Thomson has a long history in the genre, from playing Aristotle Benedict White on Ryan's Hope in 1981, to playing Adam Carrington on Dynasty from 1982 to 1989, to playing Mason Capwell on Santa Barbara from 1990 to 1993. He also played Sunset Beach character A.J. Deschanel from 1998 to 1999, Passions' FBI Special Agent Hal Freeman in 2000, and a character named Walter on Days of our Lives in 2009.
No other information about Daryl Tulane has been released, but Thomson will begin an arc of several episodes as the character on Monday, July 29.
