Talk about a nicely held soap opera secret. When General Hospital executives decided to feature a plot line twist in which Finola Hughes' Anna Devane was going to be secretly replaced by the character's twin sister, Alex Devane, they didn't tell anyone but Finola herself that she'd be playing her former All My Children character -- meaning her costars had no idea what was going on when the actress started behaving rather strangely.
"It has been really interesting to watch the actors' faces fall as they've been informed that they were actually performing with somebody else," she reveals to Soap Opera Digest. "Most of them were like, 'I thought that there was something weird! I thought that there was something off!'"
The funny thing is, as tight-lipped as the GH powers that be have been about the secret twin-twist, GH- and AMC-savvy fans were quick to figure it out. In fact, Soap Central fans began chatting about the possibility weeks ago and therefore deserve a huge pat on the back for being super soap sleuths. Good job, guys!
