When Jessica Serfaty (Sloan Petersen) chose her attire for this year's Met Gala fashion extravaganza in New York City, she took this year's theme seriously. "The Garden of Time" was the dress code on the menu, and Serfaty didn't disappoint as she walked the red carpet in a bountiful bouquet of colors from head to toe.
"DOLCE & GABBANA X GARDEN OF TIME MET GALA," she shared on Instagam, along with several photos from the event. "Thank you to Anna, Vogue and the Costume Institute. What an incredible night celebrating the history of fashion which has shaped our culture. An honour to support and celebrate."
A spokesperson for Dolce & Gabbana described Serfaty's ensemble to People: "[It's] perfect for Jessica, because both cape and dress, beautiful pieces from archive collections, come back to life on such a beauty. The cape features hand-embroidered flowers in perfect '50s style."
According to the fashion house, the ensemble was "an original design from the spring/summer 2005 ready-to-wear collection, remade in a watermelon red silk chiffon with Swarovski crystal mesh detail."
Serfaty attended the annual celebrity-filled fashion tribute with her fiancé, Ray-Ban heir Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, who attended the gala in a double-breasted red silk jacket. The couple finished their look with Ray-Ban sunglasses, of course.
Serfaty and Del Vecchio got engaged in July of 2023. At the time, the actress told People how her fiancé proposed.
"The week before Leo asked for my hand, we had been laughing about one another's past engagement stories," she said. "Poking fun at all the do's and don'ts that come along with proposals. I was completely taken by surprise when he dropped to one knee. I remember seeing the joy in Leo's face when he couldn't hold it in any longer. He teared up at the end. (Sorry Leo, but I had to!) It was spontaneous, exciting, and beautiful."
