Fans who plan to tune in to the springtime slate of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films may want to grab some Kleenex because Days of our Lives star Chandler Massey (Will Horton) is set to appear in Heart of the Matter, which sounds like quite a tear-jerker.
According to an official press release, the film follows actress Aimee Teegarden as a cardiologist who is devastated by the accidental death of a patient (Massey). As she and his grieving mother (Gail O'Grady) overcome their sorrow through forgiveness, they learn that acceptance leads to hope.
Also starring Andrew Zachar, Heart of the Matter is set to premiere on Sunday, May 15, at 9PM ET/PT. Check out a teaser trailer below and let us know what you think in our Comments section at the end of the article.
Chandler Massey joined DAYS in 2010 and played the character until 2014, at which point he chose to leave the NBC soap so he could focus on school. He returned in 2017 but was let go in 2020 due to budgetary constraints. He briefly returned to the role of Will for the soap's Peacock spinoff Beyond Salem and for its standalone holiday film, A Very Salem Christmas. In February, it was announced that Massey would be bringing Will back to the network version of the soap in a recurring capacity.
