Lookout, Obama! The Republicans Are Coming After Ya!
Tags: john mccain

The Republicans are desperate because they are losing congressional seats. Local elections have been going in the Democrats favor. For example, State Representative Don Cazayoux defeated Woody Jenkins in Louisiana. Travis Childers beat out Republican candidate Greg Davis in Mississippi.

Even President Bush is desperate. He had the gall to compare Obama to Hitler on his recent trip to the Middle East. If Bush wants to compare someone to Hitler, why doesn't he look in the mirror? Wasn't he the one who used a fake excuse to invade Iraq? He did it for financial gain. The Middle East is rich with oil, and it benefitted Bush and his other oil buddies. Innocent men, women, and children died because of his greed. People lost their jobs, their homes, and many are going hungry because of Bush. Moreover, Bush has an extremely low approval rating, so I would keep my mouth shut if I were him.

Bush certainly is not helping McCain. The last time I checked, McCain was in the woods somewhere demonstrating how much he cares about the environment. Hmm…McCain seems desperate, doesn't he? He is obviously trying to distance himself from Bush.

Bush is almost out of office and yet he is instilling fear in people. His latest speech, while in the Middle East, only played on people's fears. I'm sick of the scared tactics that the Republicans are using. When I got off the train, at Penn Station, on Friday, there were cops with machine guns standing on the platform. The first thing that came to mind was Bush's trip abroad. Each time Bush talks about terrorism, the cops come out in droves. I'm so sick of it already. They are expecting people to live in fear for the rest of their lives.

Senator McCain was open to a Hamas government two years ago, but now he is singing a different tune. He is now accusing Obama of wanting to meet with Hamas when Obama has repeatedly said that he would not meet with Hamas. Isn't McCain a hypocrite? At least Obama is not willing to meet with Hamas. Two years ago, when Hamas won the Palestinian parliamentary election, McCain was asked if American diplomats should be working with the Palestinian government if Hamas was in charge. McCain said that Hamas was the government and that sooner or later America was going to have to deal with them.

Mike Huckabee tried to make a joke, but it was in poor taste. In the middle of his speech, while at the NRA, it sounded like a chair toppled over, and Mike Huckabee said that it was Barack Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him. That's another example of how desperate the Republicans have become. The topic was people having the right to bear arms, but Huckabee's poor taste in jokes had him clamoring to apologize to Barack Obama.

Will McCain try to go after the working class voters, the same voters Hillary Clinton targeted? The Republicans seem to go for the "the kitchen sink" type of politics. They would rather use negative attack ads against their opponents rather than focus on real issues.

It wasn't so long ago Hillary Clinton targeted the working class voters, whom she considered uneducated. Was she targeting them because she thought that they were ignorant and stupid? They were so gullible that they would believe every single thing that Hillary Clinton told them. She played the race card, and the people who had racism on their minds from the get go, used that as an excuse to vote for Hillary Clinton. They used the Rev Wright issue as an excuse to vote for Hillary Clinton. Well, if you read between the lines, most voters in West Virginia voted for Hillary Clinton because of race. The Clintons used the race card to evoke those dormant feelings in the voters. There was no surprise there.

What does Barack Obama has to do now? Michael Dukakis made an important point on CNN the other night. Obama needs to organize at the precinct level by sending people door to door with pamphlets that state what he is all about. I agree with Dukakis because If Obama does not does not take his advice; the Republicans will do it for him and in an extremely negative way. They will fill people's heads with nonsense, and they will target those "uneducated voters" who they think don't know any better. If I were those voters, I would be insulted, frankly.
